Golf gets most of the attention when people talk about Avery Ranch, but the community's day-to-day amenities — the pools, trails, and schools most residents actually use — rarely get the same detail. Here's what's really there.

Five Amenity Centers, Not Just One Pool

Avery Ranch is spread across five separate amenity centers, each with its own pool, rather than a single central clubhouse pool shared by the whole community. Facilities across these centers include tennis and basketball courts, sand volleyball, and a junior Olympic pool for lap swimming and swim-team practice. Which amenity center is realistically walkable from a given home depends heavily on the section, so it's worth asking specifically which center a listing is zoned to rather than assuming every part of Avery Ranch has equal access to all five.

The Trail System

Roughly 16 miles of connected hike-and-bike trails run through the community, linking sections to each other and to nearby parks. Combined with the golf course's open green space, that trail mileage is a big part of why Avery Ranch reads as more walkable and outdoor-oriented than a typical subdivision, even though most daily errands still require a car.

The Schools That Actually Feed Avery Ranch

On the Round Rock ISD side of the community, the real elementary-to-high-school pipeline is Elsa England Elementary, which feeds into Pearson Ranch Middle School and then McNeil High School. As I've written elsewhere, Avery Ranch's boundaries actually split between Round Rock ISD and Leander ISD depending on the exact section, so confirm the specific attendance zone for any address you're considering rather than assuming this pipeline applies community-wide.

HOA Dues and What They Cover

Monthly HOA assessments run between $130 and $155 depending on section, covering pool access, trail maintenance, landscaping, and common-area upkeep across the five amenity centers. The HOA also organizes community events throughout the year — holiday celebrations, movie nights, and similar neighborhood gatherings — funded through those same dues.

How This Fits Into the Bigger Picture
